Ours uses SDT ultrasonic leak detectors, calibrated flow meters clamped on the main header, and an electrical power logger on the compressor feeder for a minimum 7-day baseline.     Compressed-air audit - scope and deliverables

    A standard audit runs 2-4 weeks on site: we install temporary power meters on every compressor, pressure loggers on the ring main and at critical end-uses, flow meters where existing metering is insufficient, and dew-point loggers on dryer outputs. Ultrasound leak survey happens during a non-production period (typically a weekend) to capture leaks without production noise. Deliverable is a written report with quantified findings, prioritised recommendations, and projected savings for each recommended intervention.

    Audits are delivered across central and southern Poland; for sites elsewhere we send a two-engineer team for the on-site week and analyse remotely. Report language: English or German by default for international clients, Polish on request. Deliverable is compatible with ISO 11011 (Compressed air - Energy efficiency - Assessment) so it satisfies group energy-management requirements without additional certification work.

    Vendor-sponsored 'audits' typically extrapolate from nameplate data and vendor marketing. A real audit installs meters and captures actual behaviour under real production. The two often diverge by 20-40%.

    We are brand-agnostic. Audit recommendations point to the correct technical answer, which is often 'fix leaks and controls first, then reconsider whether new compressors are needed at all.' A vendor audit rarely reaches that conclusion.

    Every located leak is logged with GPS-style room coordinates, estimated leak rate in l/min, and annual cost in EUR at your electricity tariff. Your maintenance team receives a prioritised repair list ordered by payback.

    Most compressor rooms run 1.0-1.5 bar higher than needed 'for safety.' The audit measures actual minimum pressure required at end-uses; typical finding is 0.5-1.0 bar of unnecessary pressure removable with no process risk, worth 3-7% energy savings alone.

    What is the typical ROI on an audit itself?

    The audit fee is typically 10-20% of the annual electricity savings it identifies. Payback on the audit alone (before implementing any recommendations) is under 6 months in more than 90% of the sites we have measured. Implementing the top 3 recommendations usually recovers 15-30% of total compressed-air electricity cost.

    How disruptive is the on-site measurement?

    Not at all. Meters clamp on without any electrical isolation, pressure loggers screw into existing test ports, ultrasound survey happens during a low-production window. Production continues normally throughout. Total on-site engineer presence: roughly 3-5 person-days spread over 2-4 weeks.

    Are you obligated to implement whatever the audit recommends?

    No. The audit is a standalone deliverable - you own the report and can implement with us, with a competitor, or in-house. Many clients implement leak repair in-house (fast, easy) and hire us for the compressor and controls work (specialised). This is the honest business model of an independent audit.

    How does the audit interact with our group energy-management system?

    The report follows ISO 11011 structure and provides all input data your group energy-management (ISO 50001) system needs: kWh consumption per compressor, kWh savings per intervention, EUR / kWh conversion at your tariff, CO2 impact at your grid mix.
